Hermes Transient——3D EMC Simulation
Overview
Hermes Transient is a 3D full-wave electromagnetic simulation software based on time-domain FIT (Finite Integration Technique) algorithm. It supports the simulation of electromagnetic field for arbitrary 3D structure and provides a system-level electromagnetic simulation approach to various designs and their applications. Its scenarios include antenna design, RF and microwave passive device design, EMI/EMC evaluation, mobile phone terminal, base station simulation and so on.
Key Features
Support the import of mainstream files and efficient operation of models: Support the import of mainstream 3D design files such as SAT, STP, IGES, XT, DXF, etc. The software automatically captures the geometric center point of the model, and quickly complete the input and assembly of the model through moving, copying, mirroring and other operations.
Easy 3D modeling and editing: Support fast line, surface, volume conventional model creation, model movement, rotation, mirror, equal scale, copy, line surface, surface variant editing functions. Arrange operation (Move/Move + / Roate / Roate + / Mirror / Mirror +) and Boolean operations (Unite / Subtract / Intersects / Imprint / Split). Support any entity to hide, show, transparency edit and other operations.
Various material types and easy material property editing: Integrate the material library required by design and simulation. Support customized dielectric constant, conductivity and other material properties. Built-in more than 50 kinds of commonly used dielectric and metal materials.
Flexible and diverse field display functions: Support field monitor settings, which can display the electric/magnetic field of the volume and the surface in the computational domain. Probe monitor setup is used to generate curves of electric/magnetic field at specific points as a function of time and frequency.
Fast simultaneous excitation simulation: According to the requirements of multi-port phased array antenna simulation scenario, multiple sets of amplitude and phase configuration files can be flexibly imported for simultaneous excitation simulation. It can quickly extract the corresponding far-field pattern with multiple excitations, shorten simulation time, and verify the array algorithm,
Multiple post-processing functions: Support network parameters S/Y/Z/VSWR extraction, S-parameters import and export, as well as antenna far-field simulation results extraction including far-field pattern, beam width, directivity coefficient, gain, etc.
